The event was held for the first time this fall in Sofia on the 16th of October in Sofia, and the CSR cluster took part in it as a partner of the conference organizers Via Expo.
The focus of the new initiative was the internationalization of Bulgarian small and medium business, which in today’s economic reality is an essential motive for improvement of competitiveness of businesses and a motive for them to expand their market positions.
The format of “Bulgarian export – Trends and Perspectives” event consisted of two parts, which conditionally divided it to a “Conference” part and an “Exhibition” part, to thereby adequately provide useful information to companies from Bulgaria regarding real opportunities and promising niches in different geographic regions, strategies for effective export, profitable lending, export credit insurances and others.
Among the participants in the conference part of the event were: Veselin Iliev, Chief of International Economic Cooperation, Bulgarian Industrial Association; Aglika Sabeva-Tsvetanova of the European Commission Representation in Bulgaria; Sevdelina Damyanova law firm Hoesman, Germany; Milena Videnova, manager of COFACE Bulgaria; Anna Karshovski, director of “Business Development” Bulgarian Agency of export insurance; Rosen Ivanov, managing partner of Black Peak Capital, Borislav Tsvetanov DS-Concept Factoring; Nikolay Stoyanov, Head of “Corporate transaction banking,” Postbank; Dr. Mitko Vassilev, CEO of the German-Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce’ the head of department for promotion of trade investment, Embassy of Poland in Bulgaria; Eleonora Ivanova, Chairman of the Board, Bulgarian-Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Stoyan Stalev, Vice-President, Turkish-Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
In the exhibition part key participants were: the Bulgarian Agency for Export Insurance, the Bulgarian Industrial Association, the British-Bulgarian Business Association, the German-Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce, DS-Concept Factoring, EOS Services, Cibank, OHMI EuroCert GmbH and BTP.
