Today (7th March) in Tehran started the Bulgarian-Iranian Business Forum. Over 70 Bulgarian companies and the Deputy Minister of economy Lyuben Petrov will meet with representatives of the Iranian business. The Deputy Minister of Economy of Iran, Mr. Akhami stated that in the new created conditions Iran hopes for a significant increase of trade between the two countries. The forum was attended by Iranian companies in the field of banking, the provision of technical and engineering services, manufacturing, petrochemical industry, construction, agriculture, clothing and textiles, automotive, transportation, mining and pharmaceutical industry, as well as commercial companies. The Iranian deputy minister pointed out that Iran is ready to sign an agreement on commercial activity between the Bulgaria and Iran and to begin the standardization of certain trade procedures. Iran is ready for joint investments with Bulgarian partners and the establishment of local industries that do not cover the entire region.
